.....The Workshop creates a setting in which students are advised and mentored by master jazz musicians and educators. Individuals new to jazz receive an excellent introduction to the music while more advanced students make use the workshop to rapidly improve in a short period of time. All students benefit from the low student/instructor ratio of seven to one. In addition to program director Doug Little, several guest faculty visit during the week and students receive a variety of insights into the music. Students study in a relaxed yet focused atmosphere which allows them maximize their creativity and understanding of jazz music.
......The workshop is open to aspiring musicians ages fourteen and up.
